Evelyn was born into a farming family and has lived in the Tenterden area of Kent all her life; first at Heronden Old House Farm, Tenterden and then Frogshole Farm, Benenden; Crit Hall, Benenden; Goodshill Farm; Mill Pond Farm and now Little Halden Place Farm, Tenterden. Her knowledge of animals and traditional farming methods is second-to-none and she is a well-known character in the town. She married young Bob Luck, from the famous Bob Luck Cidermakers.
‘The Cider Maker’s Wife’ is a light-hearted memoir of her life with some amusing anecdotes and tales of the hardships and joys rural life can bring, but to fellow countrymen and women, it will also bring many reminiscences.
